Sheffield based MMSA member achieves goal

MMSA member Source Sounds of Sheffield achieved one of their major goals during 2005 when they became European Sound Off Champions at the European IASCA (International Auto Sound Challenge Association) Finals held at Hasselt in Belgium in December that year.

Competitors' cars were marked against stringent sound quality, build quality and presentation criteria by a panel of highly qualified European judges. 20 Cars were invited from the UK to compete against vehicles from all over Europe. The UK won 17 trophies in total, four of which went to Team Source competitors.

Source Sounds' award winning custom-built Renault Clio has taken 18 months to complete and not only looks good but also delivers extremely high quality sound.

Source Sounds was established in 1995 by Paul Ellis and now employs a team of 8 highly skilled staff – 3 sales, 3 installers, 1 accountant and 1 trainee. Paul has been an avid competitor in all branches of in-car competition and has picked up many accolades along the way. In 2003 Paul captained the winning team in a 48 Hour UK Installer Challenge, and then went on to win the Trans-Atlantic 48 Hour Installer Challenge against the best of the American installers. Most recently, Source have become the European Ultra Pro 600+ Sound Quality Champions.

Source have had their work featured on the BBC1 program Inside Out, ITV local news program Calendar and the C4 program Big Breakfast and have also built many manufacturers' demonstration vehicles and magazine owned cars.
