Optimised for Joomla?
Joomla is an excellent software package, allowing designers and clients to manage web sites online. As newer versions are released, the requirements of the server can change, and there are particular considerations relating to site security. We use the same infrastructure Joomla uses to host its own site, so it's always perfectly optimised for Joomla, providing the latest features and good security.
Why Twin Firewalls?
The Internet is under constant attack from hackers looking for weaknesses to gain entry to websites. Most hosting providers that offer cloud, shared and even dedicated server hosting, will protect their network from malicious attack by using a perimeter firewall. This has the job of checking the traffic coming into the network of servers that host their clients' sites, like guards at the door.
But imagine a rush of people getting into a club. The doormen are likely to let a few wearing trainers slip through! Perimeter firewalls are like that - because of the amount of traffic coming in, they don't see everything.
To best protect from potential attack requires the packets of data coming into your server to be inspected, but few if any perimeter firewalls will handle packet inspection - it would slow everything down too much. This means your site is open to be scanned for weak points (so-called 'back doors').
